Congressman Byron Donalds, who represents Florida’s 19th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on his social media account acknowledging enlistees, congratulating organizations, and celebrating Team USA’s achievements at the Winter Olympics.

On February 9, 2026, Donalds expressed gratitude to military recruits by stating, “God bless these ten enlistees. A grateful nation thanks you for your commitment to the safety and security of the American people.”

Later that day, he praised Turning Point USA’s performance during a sporting event halftime show. In his post at 20:24 UTC, he wrote, “Congratulations to @TPUSA on an incredible halftime show! This is the way.”

Donalds also recognized athletic accomplishments at the ongoing Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. At 20:50 UTC, he posted: “Congratulations to @USFigureSkating and @usskiteam on securing @TeamUSA’s first two Gold Medals of @milanocortina26! The United States is now tied for second place in Gold Medals secured.”

Byron Donalds has represented Florida’s 19th district in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Francis Rooney. Prior to serving in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. Donalds was born in Brooklyn in 1978 and currently resides in Naples. He holds degrees from both Florida A&M University and Florida State University.
